Plexision

4424 Penn Avenue, Suite 202, Pittsburgh, PA, 15224, United States

Overview

Plexision develops cell-based blood tests that predict transplant rejection subtypes and post-transplant infections using a common immune cell function platform. Its portfolio includes the FDA-approved Pleximmune™ for pediatric liver and intestine transplants, the lab-developed Pleximark™ for kidney rejection, PlexABMR™ for antibody-mediated rejection, PlexCMV™ for cytomegalovirus immunity, and PlexEBV™ for EBV infection. The company delivers results in as little as 6 to 24 hours from its CLIA-approved, CAP-accredited reference laboratory in Pittsburgh, PA. Plexision is integrating artificial intelligence and machine learning to improve predictive accuracy and to rank multiple outcome likelihoods per patient, moving beyond binary results. A $365,000 investment from the Richard King Mellon Foundation will accelerate that AI/ML integration across the test suite. Multicenter validation studies have demonstrated clinical performance—PlexABMR™ showed 81% positive predictive value and 75% negative predictive value for antibody-mediated rejection—and results will be reported at the 2025 World Transplant Congress.
