PlumCare provides a lifetime DNA advisory service for families that combines saliva-based whole exome DNA testing, data from participating family members, family medical history, external research and analysis. The service is delivered as a subscription that includes ongoing monitoring of scientific advances with annual reports and notifications. PlumCare was created by clinical geneticists Dr. Paul Billings and Dr. Petros Tsipouras and is led by CEO and co-founder Petros Tsipouras, M.D. The company is based in Alameda, California. PlumCare will use the new funding to further support commercialization and expand access to its proprietary tests and services. It has also reached a partnership agreement with Cordlife Group Limited to broaden access to its lifetime DNA testing and advisory service for families.
