Plutoshift
530 Lytton Ave Ste 205, Palo Alto, California, 94301, United States
Overview
Plutoshift offers a cloud-based platform that uses a 'Grounded AI' approach to deliver real-time process performance monitoring and predictive insights for industrial operations. The software unifies operational, financial, and maintenance data to compute metrics, surface anomalies, and enable proactive actions. The company is initially targeting manufacturers with critical reliance on water—what it calls 'Business Water'—and is working with a large beverage customer on water treatment monitoring. Plutoshift's platform provides unified, near-term predictive analysis so operators can foresee spikes in resource consumption and reduce costs. The company plans to use new funding to expand the technology behind its cloud solution and broaden deployment. Plutoshift was founded in 2016 and has offices in Palo Alto and Denver. Pluto AI’s platform ingests large quantities of sensor and operational data from water treatment plants and uses machine learning to produce dashboarded asset ratings (0–100) that surface cause-and-effect relationships. The system incorporates inputs such as temperature, pressure and readings from pumps and chlorinators, and provides prioritized, actionable recommendations based on historical data. Pluto says its models can determine 50–70% of plant failures due to being trained and optimized specifically on water data. The company targets municipal water plants as well as large beverage producers, manufacturers and power companies that have high water usage. Pluto positions itself against larger offerings like IBM’s Intelligent Water while finding niche pilots and corporate customers with shorter procurement cycles. The company is a former 500 Startups accelerator participant. With the new capital, Pluto plans to grow its enterprise sales team to scale the platform in the marketplace.
