Founded last year, Plutus operates a platform where individual investors can browse thematic portfolios created by independent research providers and automatically replicate them in their own brokerage accounts. These portfolios are designed for automated rebalancing and may provide tax advantages compared with passive ETFs or mutual funds. Plutus earns revenue by taking a percentage of the subscription fees that each portfolio provider sets. The startup recently received its Registered Investment Advisor license from the SEC, enabling it to formally onboard users from its waitlist.
