PodPonics develops and operates a proprietary growing system that integrates advanced hydroponics, custom lighting, irrigation and nutrient technology with process control. The company supplies more than 150 pounds per week of locally-grown, pesticide-free lettuce, arugula, watercress and other micro-greens to Atlanta restaurants and retailers. Its system is designed to reduce cost, improve product quality and create local jobs while meeting demand for locally produced natural foods. PodPonics plans to use new funding to grow current operations and expand into new markets and geographies. The company was established in 2010 by CEO Matt Liotta and is based in Atlanta, GA. It completed a seed financing to support these expansion plans.
