Cloud Engines produces Pogoplug, a personal cloud service and small appliance that safely hosts a user’s storage at home or office and provides private, secure online storage with no fees or limits. The Pogoplug service is free with the purchase of a Pogoplug-powered device and can be accessed and shared from any computer or mobile device. The company plans to use new financing to continue expanding global distribution of the Pogoplug service and devices. Cloud Engines was founded in 2007 by entrepreneurs from the digital media and security industries and is led by President and CEO Daniel Putterman. The company is based in San Francisco and operates development offices in Israel. It recently completed a new financing round to support its distribution and growth plans.
