Polarity

6 South Ridge Road, Farmington, CT, 06032, United States

Overview

Polarity builds an on-device computer-vision platform that continuously scans everything displayed on a user’s screen and highlights relevant information in real time, functioning like an augmented-reality layer for desktops. Using custom optical character recognition and machine-learning models, the product can surface items such as employee bios or suspicious IP addresses regardless of whether the user is in Chrome, Excel or a scanned PDF. The software is tuned for efficiency, typically consuming only 3-6% of CPU while running on users’ machines. Current paying customers include teams at seven Fortune 100 companies, and many additional enterprises are running pilot programs. The 20-person Connecticut company plans to roughly double headcount over the next 18 months to support larger rollouts. To date, Polarity has raised at least $11.6 million across two rounds, including a recent $8.1 million “AA” financing and an earlier $3.5 million Series A in 2017, funding its push to scale adoption of its enterprise security and productivity solution.
