Polimill

Tokyo, Japan

Overview

Polimill is the developer of QommonsAI, a generative-AI solution that lets Japanese municipalities deploy up to 1,000 accounts at no cost, with unlimited token usage and LGWAN compatibility included. The product is already used by roughly 650 local governments and several hundred-thousand civil servants, giving it the No. 1 share in the municipal AI market. Polimill plans to scale to 1,200 municipalities and 800,000 users by the end of 2026 and will launch an MCP app marketplace, Qommons ONE, in April 2026 to connect third-party data services with public-sector users. Future modules such as Qommons Connect, QommonsAI Pro, and QommonsAI Advance, along with humanoid-robot integrations, aim to deepen the company’s administrative-DX ecosystem. The firm is also building a next-generation knowledge base that marries GraphRAG with an original government ontology to standardise siloed public data. Revenue is expected to come from ecosystem transactions rather than user fees, supporting a post-money valuation of about ¥5 billion despite the core service being free. The newly raised capital will fund product development, nationwide rollout, data-platform work and humanoid-robot pilots.
