PolyCycl

KK-16, HSIDC ESTATE, KALKA, HARYANA, 133302, INDIA

Overview

Founded in 2016 by Amit Tandon, Bengaluru-based PolyCycl has built a fully continuous chemical-recycling system capable of processing 100 tons of plastic waste per module per day. The technology transforms low-grade, contaminated plastics—such as single-use polyethylene bags and mixed polyolefin packaging—into hydrocarbon oils that can be used to make new plastics and other products. Having achieved Technology Readiness Level 7, the platform has already undergone extended industrial testing and is positioned for commercial scale-up. PolyCycl intends to deploy the process in partnership with petrochemical and downstream manufacturing companies, offering a circular solution where mechanical recycling fails. With fresh capital, the company will broaden its technology stack, launch commercial projects, and pursue domestic and international licensing while strengthening engineering and operations teams. India’s severe plastic-waste crisis, estimated at 9.3 million tons annually, underpins the market need for PolyCycl’s solution.
