PolymerActive
Offenburg, Germany
Overview
PolymerActive develops porous filter granulates produced by a patented chemical upcycling process that converts polyamide plastic waste into materials for treating industrial wastewater and exhaust air. The company patented its process in 2021 and was founded the same year, after the founders conceived the idea during their studies in 2017. PolymerActive has brought its product to market and grown to roughly 15 employees. Current production capacity is about one cubic meter, and the company intends to expand that capacity five- to tenfold. Financially, PolymerActive recently closed a €2.5 million Series A led by Syngroh Capital with backing from the Grohe family to fund scaling and market expansion.
