Ponicode has developed an AI- and machine-learning-based platform that tests functions, generates unit tests and suggests code improvements after learning from millions of lines of code. The product aims to relieve developers of tedious testing tasks, improve product quality and speed time-to-market. The company launched a public beta in June 2020, ran a private beta with early adopters, and was included in Microsoft’s AI Factory programme in May 2020. The team counts 11 members and the company was founded in June 2019. Ponicode recently completed a €3 million seed fundraising and additionally holds a €1 million loan from Bpifrance. Planned use of proceeds includes beefing up R&D, doubling headcount within a year, beginning commercial marketing and an international roll-out targeting the US.
