Poplar provides a platform designed to lower the barrier to producing 3D and AR campaigns for brands. The company aggregates a community of more than 1,600 creators to deliver on-demand 3D/AR work such as virtual try-ons and branded face filters. Major brands including Speedo, Nestlé, Jack Daniels, Disney, L'Oreal and Universal Music have used Poplar's solutions. Poplar is one of TikTok’s first tech partners for AR Branded effects and a Trusted Partner for Google's Swirl 3D ad format. Founded and incubated at the Founders Factory studio in London by David Ripert, the company is positioning itself to capitalise on increased AR usage driven by the COVID-19 pandemic. Poplar has raised seed funding to boost growth and expand its platform to deliver premium AR campaigns more quickly and at lower cost.
