Overview
Portlogics provides a web-based trade order and freight management system that automates forwarding workflows (using robotic process automation) to digitize the manual, email-based international shipping process. Its platform supports shipments by sea, road, and rail and gives merchants status updates and cost estimates. More than 26 companies, including large logistics firms and shippers such as GS Global and Hyundai Bioland, use Portlogics’ software. The startup has 19 employees (six in R&D) and recently raised $1.6 million (2 billion won) in pre-Series A funding. Portlogics will use the capital to further develop its platform, hire additional staff, and introduce AI/ML models to better estimate e-booking and shipping costs. It is also in talks with B2B SaaS security firms to strengthen customer and internal data security. The company currently focuses on South Korea but plans to open offices in Southeast Asia and the U.S. after 2024.
