Potrero Medical is a Hayward, Calif.-based predictive health company whose Accuryn system uses urinary catheters as diagnostic tools. Accuryn provides real-time measurements of intra-abdominal pressure, urine output and core body temperature and can be integrated into hospital EMR systems. According to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing, the company has raised $11.7 million of a proposed $15 million financing. The filing noted the raise attracted 20 investors. Potrero will also use the funding to develop an artificial intelligence platform to help clinicians with early intervention of life-threatening events such as acute kidney injury (AKI).
