Power Vision Limited develops specialist equipment that applies anti-reflective (AR) coatings to spectacle lenses, enabling optical retailers to perform coatings in-store. Its technology is designed to let retailers offering “1 hour” spectacles apply AR coatings in less than 15 minutes per side. Founded in 2010 and based in Crewe, UK, the company has secured a licence agreement with Vision Ease Lenses Inc. in the US to sell its equipment in North America. Power Vision intends to use the funds to grow sales worldwide and expand its operations. The management team includes CEO Tony Williams, technical manager Bob Waugh, finance director Tony Abramson and non-executive director Mike Walls; Dean Butler, founder of Lenscrafter and Vision Express, has joined the board as chairman.
