Founded in 2016, PowerUP Energy Technologies engineers and manufactures hydrogen-powered electric generators that deliver reliable, security-grade energy in remote or extreme environments. Originating from technology created for European Space Agency missions, the company’s modular fuel-cell systems are silent and emission-free, making them suitable for forward military bases, critical civilian infrastructure, and other off-grid use cases. PowerUP follows a dual-use strategy, serving both defence customers who require rugged, battle-tested hardware and commercial clients in sectors such as security and telecommunications. Its units have already been deployed and validated in high-risk areas, including Ukraine, underscoring their resilience. With growing global demand, the company plans to expand sales and technical teams and establish strategic hubs in Central Europe and North America. Concurrently, it will accelerate R&D efforts to develop higher-density fuel cells that address a broader spectrum of power requirements. The recent €10 million Series A round provides the capital to scale manufacturing and commercialisation efforts.
