Preact offers a data-science system that analyzes a variety of signals to help subscription software companies identify when customers are likely to churn or upgrade. The product integrates its insights into tools such as Gmail, Marketo, Salesforce, Zendesk and Desk.com to surface actionably timed outreach. CEO Michael Geller says the platform contrasts with simpler rule-based approaches by adapting models to account- and department-level differences. Preact publicly launched its product today and says it is already being used by more than 40 businesses, including Adomic, Bitium, Doctorbase, EatClub, Education.com, Lettuce, Propertybase, and RJMetrics. The company positions itself to help customers increase spending and reduce churn by enabling earlier, data-driven interventions. Financially, Preact announced a new financing round concurrent with the launch (see deal details).
