The product is available as a deeply integrated app for Splunk and through OEM partnerships with Alert Logic and CA Technologies, and the company reports more than 100 enterprise installations. Prelert has opened its API and offers connectors to popular big data technologies such as Elasticsearch to enable developers, cloud service providers and technology vendors to integrate its engine. Target customers include enterprises, cloud service providers and IT management providers. The company intends to use new funding to expand its field sales and engineering teams to accelerate partnerships, integrations and deployments. Headquartered in Framingham, Mass., Prelert positions its technology to help non-data scientists derive real-time operational insights while reducing false alerts and operational costs. Prelert develops Incident Cause Analysis software that automatically finds the causal chain of events behind business-affecting IT service incidents. Its product targets large enterprises and service providers aiming to eliminate long-duration service disruptions of mission-critical applications. The company says the solution can reduce mean time to repair (MTTR) in complex infrastructures by 90%. Prelert operates out of Needham, MA and maintains a European office in London, UK. Following the raise, the company plans to use the funds to expand sales of its flagship product. Financially, it has completed a $3.75M Series A financing to support those commercial expansion efforts.
