Prescriby offers an app that delivers clinician-created tapering plans to help patients taper off addictive medications and lets clinicians and patients monitor progress remotely. The platform is being implemented nationwide in Iceland through a partnership with the Icelandic Ministry of Health and has entered a commercialization project in Canada. Prescriby plans to scale within Canada and introduce the product to the US as a clinical decision support tool for prescription opioids and other addictive medications. The company is also beginning a controlled cohort clinical trial in Denmark later this year. Prescriby raised €2M in its current round to support these expansion plans. Dr. Kjartan Thorsson, CEO and co-founder, developed the idea while practising medicine at the University Hospital of Iceland and has domain expertise in prescription opioids.
