Founded in 2024 by Brian Hough, Tory Briggs and Andy Crum, PressBox builds an AI-driven platform that automates production of digital content for sports leagues and media companies. The platform uses agents that monitor sport events, media coverage, social conversation and structured data to generate content such as injury reports, game recaps, stat-driven stories, personalized articles, email newsletters (including multilingual translations), audio and highlight packages. PressBox reports more than a dozen clients, including Fanatics, The Sporting News, Alt Sports Data, The Curling Group/Rock League and World Surf League. The company is targeting emerging sports properties and aims to evolve into an all-in-one content management system that can handle email, CMS, push notifications and messaging. PressBox has five employees and recently hired Kevin Jackson as Head of Editorial Product. Its total funding to date is $2.8M following the seed raise.
