Overview
Printr builds the Formide ecosystem for makers, schools and offices to create items on 3D printers. It also develops hardware such as the Element, a streaming device that connects to existing 3D printers via USB. Founded in 2014 as a spinoff from the University of Twente, the company was started by Douwe Bart Mulder (CEO), Cecile van der Waal (COO) and Chris ter Beke (CTO). Printr operates from Enschede, the Netherlands, and maintains a second office in Amsterdam. The company recently raised €750K in funding from unnamed investors and entrepreneurs and plans to use the funds to grow the team, scale the product and increase its number of users.
