Founded in 2009 and headquartered in Glasgow, Probe Test Solutions designs and manufactures probe cards used to interface electronic test systems with semiconductor wafers. The company has a presence in Europe, the US and Asia. This is the first external investment since PTSL's inception. The €30M minority investment from Tikehau Capital is intended to fund international expansion, technology innovation, significant capital expenditures and potential acquisitions. PTSL's CEO and founder Jordan Mackellar will retain a majority stake. The company also intends to prioritise sustainability and to redefine ESG best practices within the semiconductor probe card space.
