Proclaim builds the Custom-Jet Oral Health System: a 3D-printed, personalized mouthpiece paired with a hydro station that pulses 60 jets of pressurized water over seven seconds. The system is intended to be used alongside regular brushing and is clinically claimed to be 10× more effective at reducing gum bleeding, nearly 13× more effective at reducing gum inflammation, and almost 8× more effective at reducing plaque versus daily brushing and string flossing. Each mouthpiece is customized to an individual’s anatomy to target plaque and bacteria precisely. Proclaim raised $15 million in a Series B to fund initial commercialization and scale awareness and education among dental professionals and consumers. CEO Heberto Calves said the round is meant to set the stage for a growth C round in Q3 2024. The company positions the product as an at-home oral-health platform that could also help address broader systemic health issues linked to gum disease.
