The company plans to use the new funding to launch new solutions for its expanding roster of global clients and to bolster its SOC- and SIEM-as-a-service offerings. In 2017 Proficio expanded its North American presence, broadened operations in Singapore and Australia, and opened a security operations center in Barcelona, Spain. Looking to 2018, Proficio intends to continue accelerated global growth by meeting cybersecurity needs worldwide. Financially, the announced financing increases Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors' total investment in Proficio to more than $20 million. Proficio was founded in 2010 and is based in Carlsbad, Calif. Proficio is an award-winning provider of managed detection and response (MDR) and managed security services (MSSP). Its core offering, ProSOC, provides 24x7 security monitoring, advanced threat detection, automated response and managed detection and response services. The company has established a strong customer base in healthcare, financial services, utilities, industrial and consumer-focused organizations and was one of the first MSSPs to establish a next-generation security operations center in Singapore. ProSOC has grown rapidly, reporting over 100% year-over-year revenue growth for the last three years. Proficio plans to use the new funding to expand its global presence across the Americas, Asia Pacific and Europe and to introduce new cybersecurity platforms and services. In the first half of 2017 the company planned to introduce services and platforms leveraging advanced analytics, threat intelligence, and orchestrated incident response.
