Profound was founded by ex-Swiggy and ex-Zomato executives Anuj Rathi (CEO) and Prashant Parashar (CTO) and offers an AI "Rep" that begins with a 30-minute voice conversation to build an evolving understanding of a professional’s experience, judgment, working style and ambitions. The AI Rep operates in the background to identify relevant opportunities, facilitate introductions, and help build professional relationships. Profound also enables hiring managers to create AI Reps for roles and teams, allowing richer context capture than conventional job descriptions to improve talent discovery and matching. The company has opened an early-access program for an initial cohort and plans to onboard 1 million professionals globally ahead of a broader beta. Profound intends to use its seed funding to expand engineering and product teams and enhance its AI and matchmaking capabilities.
