ProjectDiscovery continuously monitors websites, applications, APIs, cloud environments and services to detect new, exploitable vulnerabilities. The platform uses community-contributed templates to help IT and engineering teams find and remediate vulnerabilities and misconfigurations. The company began as an open-source project in 2020 founded by Rishiraj Sharma, Sandeep Singh, Nizamul Rana and Marco Rivoli and raised a seed round in January 2021. ProjectDiscovery reports over 60,000 community members and about 3,000 sign-ups for its ProjectDiscovery Cloud Platform, including from Fortune 500 enterprises. The company is commercializing its free tooling with ProjectDiscovery Cloud Platform, a managed cloud offering that handles maintenance and installation. Management says the latest funding will be used for hiring and to support the cloud platform launch.
