PromoRepublic

Tammasaarenkatu 1, Helsinki, 00180, Finland

Overview

PromoRepublic bills itself as a “WIX for a small business’s social presence,” using AI to generate and recommend social media content tailored to specific businesses. The platform suggests what to post, when to post, how often, what copy, design, calls to action and hashtags to use across Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram. Users can customize and approve content for a whole month; the service integrates with Hootsuite, HubSpot, Buffer and Yext and provides access to 100,000+ templates and images. PromoRepublic charges from $20 per month and positions itself against visual design tools like Canva, Stencil and Adobe Spark as well as DIFM companies such as Main Street Hub, Boostability and RevLocal. To date the company reports 50,000 small- and medium-business owners registered on the platform. The product automates posting at the right time and frequency to reduce the manual work of SMB owners managing social media. PromoRepublic provides a Calendar of Content Ideas and an industry-specific template library that supplies daily facts, holidays, trends and creative text and visuals to help users produce engaging social media posts. The service targets freelance marketers, agencies and SMEs and has integrations with Hootsuite and Buffer, with additional integrations planned. The company claims to have the smartest library of templates in the world and focuses on surfacing only relevant content ideas for each business. PromoRepublic has more than one hundred paying customers, is targeting a 30% monthly growth rate and reports positive European market growth this year. Financially, it has raised approximately €150,000 over the three years since founding and completed a €500,000 investment round in July led by Sampo Parkkinen; an attempted Invesdor equity crowdfunding was halted after a financing-strategy change. The team is headquartered in Helsinki, with part of the team in Kiev and a virtual office in Palo Alto, and the founders have completed accelerators in Ukraine, Estonia, Chile and Finland. PromoRepublic plans to pivot in the US toward agencies and freelancers, use the new funds to pursue US traction, and is attending TechCrunch Disrupt and Slush as part of its growth and future fundraising efforts.
