Propeller
180 Howard Street Suite 800, San Francisco, California, 94105, United States
Overview
Propeller provides a visual, template-driven interface that enables people who don't know how to code to build native (not HTML5) mobile apps and distribute them via its iPhone and Android app. The product targets everyday users creating apps for events, groups, small businesses and similar use cases. The team says it has developed key technical innovations to dynamically build native apps and avoid the low-quality HTML5 experience of some competitors. Founders Brian Rowen and Clay Allsopp began the project after meeting at Likealittle and started the company in September 2012. The company is pre-launch and plans to use new funding to staff up and refine those innovations prior to launch. The article does not disclose revenue or user metrics.
