ProTom International develops and supplies the Radiance 330® focused proton therapy system for cancer treatment. The company installs its scanning-beam proton therapy machine in existing, operational radiation oncology facilities to enable sharing of clinical staff, ancillary equipment and patient support areas. ProTom is installing a Radiance 330 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, with the installation expected to be operational in late 2017. Led by CEO Steve Spotts, the company has raised a total of $60.0m since 2015. Financially, ProTom received a commitment for an additional $30.0m from Michaelson Capital Partners, with $10.0m already provided through March 2017 and the investment to close by the end of June 2017.
