ProtonMedia develops ProtoSphere, a virtual world and collaboration tool that enables enterprise users to work together in a 3D environment on spreadsheets, documents, images, presentations and web content. The software is positioned as a blend of Second Life–style virtual worlds and enterprise collaboration platforms like Yammer or Jive. The company plans to integrate ProtoSphere with Kaplan’s ComplianceWire learning management system as part of its strategic partnership with Kaplan.
