Proveca is a Manchester-based pharmaceutical company that identifies, develops and licenses off-patent medicines addressing unmet priority health care needs, with a focus on the paediatric market. It is led by Dr Simon Bryson and Dr Helen Shaw. Its lead product, Sialanar, is a treatment for chronic pathological drooling in children. The company raised £4m in funding. Proveca intends to use the funds for the commercial roll-out of Sialanar, with growth debt included in the financing.
