Pryynt provides an SDK that allows app developers to add a print button directly inside photo apps, enabling users to order physical products (postcards, greetings cards, posters, canvas prints) without switching apps. The service handles order fulfilment, customer support, payments and system updates and uses a global network of HP-accredited printers to produce and ship orders. Pryynt offers developers a revenue share of 30 per cent or more on purchases generated through the integrated button. The company says it has more than 40 apps signed up ahead of a full launch next month; Camera MX, Insta Shape Pro and Best Postcard Maker are already live while PhotoGrid and Retrica are due to go live soon. CEO and founder James Washer led the company through the raise and personally contributed to the round. The product focus is on embedding on-demand print commerce into existing photo apps to capture print sales at point-of-use.
