Pufferfish develops spherical display systems that deliver highly interactive, multi-sensory experiences combining sound, vision, data and touch for settings such as museums, planetariums, corporate communications and visitor attractions. The company’s products include PufferSphere™ and PufferTouch™, and it can integrate with other tech systems to translate complex data into immersive visualisations. Pufferfish counts clients including Google, NASA, BBC, Fortum, Amazon Prime and Aramco. The Edinburgh-based firm exceeded a £600,000 fundraising target in its latest round and will use the capital to accelerate go-to-market activities, product innovation and new launches. It is rolling out upgraded versions of PufferSphere and PufferTouch with sharper images and stronger touch functionality, and plans three completely new products to be launched this year. Management says the funding and a new leadership team position the company to capitalise on renewed demand for events and immersive experiences as pandemic disruptions ease.
