Pull Systems offers a software-as-a-service platform that provides performance-management tooling for EV suppliers, manufacturers and operators, positioning itself as a complement to battery management systems rather than a BMS replacement. The product includes a library of machine-learning models that analyze and predict vehicle behavior such as driving and charging, and it ingests external data like weather and road conditions to predict maintenance needs, inform over-the-air updates, and identify opportunities to boost after‑sales revenue. The company has run a proof of concept in some Porsche Taycan vehicles (the software is not in production cars). Pull aims to automate many of these processes so vehicles can take on part of the management of their propulsion systems using ML. Pull Systems was unveiled at SXSW 2023 and was created out of the UP.Labs–Porsche partnership and venture lab process. The startup plans to add several more carmakers to its service over the next year.
