Pulmologix is developing a proprietary oral non-steroidal anti-asthmatic (ONSA) lead compound targeting the allergic reaction that triggers human asthma. Led by CEO and co-founder Dr Carl-Johan Dalsgaard, the company is focused on treating early onset allergic asthma. It plans to enter phase I trials later this year and aims to run clinical proof-of-concept trials in 2015. The company raised €9.6M in a Series B to continue development of its ONSA program. Investors in the round include Novo Seeds and Sunstone Capital, with participation from previous backers Forbion Capital Partners and HealthCap. In conjunction with the funding, Bobby Soni of Novo Seeds and Andreas Segerros of Sunstone joined Pulmologix’s board of directors.
