Overview
Pulsiv develops a novel, patented power-conversion technology that improves the efficiency of converting alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC) and vice versa. The technology is applicable across a wide range of electrical products, from household goods to photovoltaic microinverters. Pulsiv has been working with a major multinational to incorporate its technology into a new consumer product line and with Robert Bosch Limited to optimise an energy-efficient solar microinverter prototype for mass manufacture. To accelerate development and scale-up, Pulsiv raised £890,000 in new equity and converted £665,000 of existing debt and accrued interest into equity. The fundraising and debt conversion values Pulsiv at £21.8 million, and Frontier IP’s resulting 18.8% stake is now worth £4.1 million (previously valued at £3.6 million as at 30 June 2020). The capital will be used to accelerate development to meet industry interest and prepare its technology for broader commercial deployment.
