Overview
Founded in 2016 by CEO Shaked Zin, PureSec provides a security solution that enables organizations to build secure serverless applications and protect them in real time. The company announced a free-tier plan to help organizations starting serverless adoption implement security early. PureSec is an AWS Lambda security advanced technology partner and is part of the Microsoft ScaleUp program. It has 12 employees in Tel Aviv and serves numerous Fortune 1000 companies alongside emerging startups in the US, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and Israel. The company raised $7M in a Series A that brought total capital raised to date to $10M. In conjunction with the funding, Square Peg Capital’s Dan Krasnostein will join the board. PureSec provides security tooling built specifically for serverless applications, scanning serverless code for vulnerabilities and offering automated fixes. The product includes a dashboard to configure security profiles and a log of activity to track incidents. PureSec itself is built on serverless architecture and targets gaps in the shared security model between cloud vendors and developers. The company emerged from beta in 2016 and emphasizes protecting short-lived functions that interact with external services. Financially, PureSec has raised $3 million in seed investment and operates with 11 employees based in Tel Aviv.
