PureStake builds blockchain infrastructure for proof-of-stake networks and developed the Moonbeam parachain. Moonbeam launched its testnet in September 2020 as part of the Polkadot ecosystem and serves as a platform for projects to build on or integrate with. Several projects, including SushiSwap, Balancer, IDEX and Ocean Protocol, have begun building on or planning integrations with Moonbeam. The company said it will use the funding to launch the Moonbeam mainnet later this year, hire staff, build developer tools, perform third-party security audits and expand operations in Asia. PureStake raised $6 million in a funding round led by CoinFund, with participation from Binance Labs, Coinbase Ventures, ParaFi, Fenbushi Capital, IOSG Ventures, Divergence Ventures, Signum Capital and others.
