Overview
Pursuant Health (formerly SoloHealth) operates a consumer health engagement and data collection platform that couples behavioral economics with real-time incentives and adaptive logic to drive individual health management. The platform uses multi-channel communication strategies, convenient care settings and real-time incentive management to engage at-risk and hard-to-reach members. Its channel mix includes a kiosk network of over 3,600 FDA-cleared, HIPAA-compliant self-service medical devices located within 10 miles of 79% of the U.S. population. The company plans to use new funding to add texting, mobile, digital and incentive-management capabilities, and to broaden program administration, engagement and health-data collection. Leadership is headed by CEO Larry Gerdes. The business recently converted prior debt financings into equity as part of its latest round. SoloHealth develops and deploys interactive health screening kiosks and other consumer-facing healthcare platforms. Its first product, the EyeSite Vision kiosk, is already located in select retail outlets and markets nationwide. The company is preparing a nationwide 2012 rollout of SoloHealth Stations that measure vision, blood pressure, weight and BMI, deliver an overall health assessment and connect users to a database of local doctors. SoloHealth is led by CEO and founder Bart Foster and is hiring aggressively to support growth. The company plans to add approximately 50 staff over the next 18 months, including a CFO, a marketing director and ad sales executives. Financially, SoloHealth has raised nearly $13M to date, including a $1.2M grant from the National Institutes of Health. SoloHealth develops and deploys health screening and information kiosks, including its EyeSite® vision kiosk which provides free vision screenings, recommendations for follow-up care, and bilingual health and wellness information. Its kiosks are located in numerous retail outlets across America. The company is led by founder and CEO Bart Foster and is developing a SoloHealth Station to screen vision, blood pressure, weight, and body mass index and to provide an overall health assessment free of charge. The SoloHealth Station will also give consumers access to a database of local doctors. In summer 2010 SoloHealth received a $1.2m grant from the National Institutes of Health. The company focuses on prevention and lowering healthcare costs by bringing free health and wellness screening to individuals who might not otherwise access it.
