PuzzleSocial is a NYC-based mobile crossword developer best known for its Daily Celebrity Crossword. The company launched Daily Celebrity Crossword in May 2013; the puzzle is written daily by some of the country's most published crossword writers. The product is coedited by Trip Payne and Amy Reynaldo and is available on Facebook, iOS, Android and Kindle devices. Led by CEO Jeb Balise, PuzzleSocial continues to develop and distribute the Daily Celebrity Crossword. The company raised $3m in a Series A to continue bringing Daily Celebrity Crossword to the mass market. The round was led by KiwiTech with participation from former HBO president Thayer Bigelow, Mark Wachen of Upstage Ventures and other NYC-based angels.
