PxE Holographic Imaging develops passive white-light holographic imaging cameras that capture a high-resolution color image, an infrared image, and a pixel-level depth map in a single snapshot. Its system achieves roughly 3x the light sensitivity of a standard camera and delivers accurate depth data from micrometers to hundreds of meters. The camera uses a single standard CMOS image sensor combined with a layer of holographic optics, and captured holograms are decoded in real time by PxE’s proprietary, fully deterministic algorithm with a computational footprint similar to a standard camera ISP. PxE’s technology targets a broad set of applications and the company already runs pilots with customers in consumer electronics, wearables, aerospace and semiconductors. The company plans to use the new funding to continue product development in close alignment with customers and aims to obtain first qualifications for mass-market products in 2025.
