Overview
PXL Vision provides automated identity verification and customer onboarding software that uses computer vision and machine learning to detect identity fraud. The company is a high-tech spin-off of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH). It was co-founded in 2017 by Nevena Shamoska, Roxana Porada, Lucas Sommer, Karim Nemr and Michael Born. PXL Vision is headquartered in Zurich and also operates R&D centers in Novi Sad, Serbia, and Yerevan, Armenia. The company raised CHF4.6M (USD 4.7M) in seed financing to further expand its product portfolio and enter new markets and industries. The round was led by SIX Fintech Ventures with participation from ZKB, High‑Tech Gründerfonds, Arab Bank and business angels Beat Schillig and David Studer.
