Q'Apel Medical
4245 Technology Drive, Fremont, CA, 94538, United States
Overview
Q'Apel Medical develops and commercializes novel neurovascular access devices for vascular interventions. Its two core products are the Walrus Balloon Guide Catheter (BGC) system, designed to assist mechanical thrombectomy procedures for stroke patients, and the Wahoo Control™ Catheter, a dual-mode hybrid access system with Tracking and Support modes that lets physicians switch modes during a case. The hybrid nature of Wahoo reduces the need for multiple catheters in challenging procedures. The company's products are already being used in over 130 hospital systems nationwide. Q'Apel raised $22M in a Series C round, and is led by CEO King Nelson. In 2021 the company planned to increase manufacturing capacity, add headcount, expand its product portfolio, and is pursuing CE certification to enable expansion into Europe later that year.
