QA.tech builds an AI-based testing tool that automates testing of application and SaaS flows, such as logging in, account creation, and adding items to a shopping cart. The solution is offered as a SaaS subscription and its beta is used by approximately 40 customers, including Leya, Upsales, Virtusize, and Shoplab. The company plans a public release after summer and intends to use newly raised funds to continue product development and expand the team. QA.tech was founded in 2023 and the team currently consists of eleven people. The company recently raised additional seed funding, which it will deploy to advance the product and hire. QA.tech builds an AI-powered SaaS tool that automates quality-assurance testing by mocking a real tester to find issues in webpage code. Its tool can test features such as shopping carts, search functions and cookie banners, aiming to reduce human error in test-writing. CEO and co-founder Daniel Mauno Pettersson says the product frees developers to focus on writing code rather than writing tests and addresses the larger testing burden created by AI-assisted development. The startup raised $1 million in a pre-seed round to further develop the tool and expand its developer team. The round was led by byFounders and included angel investors Mikael Johnsson, Vigor Sörman, Petter Nyman and Vilhelm von Ehrenheim. The company is based in Sweden.
