Qeepl operates an Airbnb-style marketplace that aggregates owners of storage spaces and users who need to store personal items. The startup was founded in 2019 by Roman Saulin and Roman Nikolaev. It is active in Moscow, Saint Petersburg and more than 30 other Russian cities. In 2022 Qeepl began entering new markets, including Spain, Mexico and Argentina, and in 2021 the team discussed plans to launch in the U.S. The company says it will use newly raised funds to expand geographic coverage and to offer additional services. Founders describe the investor’s experience as a way to accelerate growth and make Qeepl a more affordable storage option.
