Overview
QI Tech offers a comprehensive API platform that enables financial institutions, fintechs, and enterprises to rapidly deploy and scale banking, payments, lending, investments, and insurance products. The company has pursued product diversification, launching an insurance-as-a-service platform that issued over $27 million in premiums in six months and is developing a digital foreign-exchange infrastructure. QI Tech processes more than 20 million anti-fraud transactions per month, has validated over 90 million individual registrations, and protects roughly $13 million in potentially fraudulent transactions monthly. Following acquisitions of Zaig (2021), Singulare (2023), and Builders Bank (2023), QI Tech became the leading FIDC custodian with $17 billion in assets under custody and $25 billion in assets under management. The company serves more than 400 clients, including 99, Shopee, and QuintoAndar, and is expanding across Latin America while emphasizing scalability, compliance, and M&A-driven growth. QI Tech offers a modular API platform that enables companies to build credit, payment and banking solutions—allowing partners to act like banks. The company holds a Direct Credit Society (SCD) license and claims to be the first SCD approved by the Brazilian Central Bank. Its product suite includes digital registration, data validation, credit scoring, digital account opening, wire transfers, Pix, bank slips and credit underwriting for multiple verticals. QI Tech serves more than 300 customers (including Shopee, Vivo Telefonica and 99/Didi) and charges via a pay-as-you-go model with a fixed fee per transaction. The company reports it has been profitable since its first year of operation; in H1 2023 it recorded $21.2 million in net revenues, up 89% year-over-year. QI Tech has grown headcount to 120 employees and plans to use new capital for strategic M&A, aggressive growth, lending-as-a-service, expanded banking-as-a-service offerings and its QI DTVM broker-dealer capabilities.
