Qira

49 West 45th Street, New York, NY, 10036, United States

Overview

Qira was formed by the merger of Rentigo (a rent processing platform) and HelloRented (a rental finance platform) to offer an end-to-end financial services platform for residential owners, property managers, and renters. Its core products include an AI-based due diligence algorithm that provides approvals in seven seconds by pulling data from 40 sources, a Security Deposit Program that lets renters avoid paying full deposits while guaranteeing managers up to 2x the deposit, and deferred/split rent payment options that guarantee owners receive full rent. Payments are collected and processed digitally via ACH, credit/debit card, check, or money order, with same- or next-day refunds and claims on security deposits processed within 48 hours. Qira says it serves more than 500 properties and has over 6,000 users on its platform, with a stated goal to triple users in 2022. The company operates as a full-service, self-funded platform and positions itself to improve owner cash flow, reduce defaults, and increase leasing velocity. Qira is led by CEO Bill Staniford, and Phoenix’s Guy Porat has been named to Qira’s board of directors.
