Qlhype operates a platform that selects, quality- and origin-checks clothes and garments used by VIPs and celebrities and returns them to the second-hand market. The company aims to create a virtuous circle of consumption by reintroducing those garments to buyers. Founded in 2022 by a group of young entrepreneurs including Ignazio Moser, Cecilia Rodriguez, Simone Marini (CEO), Giulia Allievi and Maurizio Vaccai, Qlhype is based in Milan. The startup recorded €1m turnover in its first year. It plans to expand operations and development efforts and to transition from digital to physical retail, opening a store in Porto Cervo next summer and temporary pop-ups in Naples and Milan in May 2024. Additional stores are planned in Milan and Rome in Fall 2024, and the company intends to expand abroad in 2025.
