Overview
Qlika builds a patent-pending big-data and machine-learning platform that enables advertisers to manage and optimize campaigns for each local market, segment and media channel. The product parses demographic and customer data to define “micro-markets,” automates campaign structure, A/B testing, bidding and goal-setting, and distinguishes mobile and desktop performance per market. Since launching in March as part of UpWest’s fourth Israeli‑American batch, Qlika has attracted about a dozen enterprise customers, including Redbeacon, Thumbtack, Where2GetIt and HomeTalk, and will soon manage roughly $200 million in aggregate ad spend for those customers. The company says customers have reported up to 50% increases in marketing ROI and that it manages between 20 million and 1 billion keywords at a given time. Qlika expects to hit $3 million in revenue next year and currently has a staff of 10, which it plans to expand with the new funding. Near-term plans include applying the solution to travel and automotive verticals and eventually retail, while expanding channel support beyond Google as it develops its dashboard and UI.
