Overview
Qodia builds software that automates steps of private medical billing based on the German Gebührenordnung für Ärzte (GOÄ), combining a machine-readable rulebase (GOÄ Core) with AI and a rule-engine. Since its product launch in December 2025, the startup reports integration with eleven billing centers and a rapidly rising demand for its solutions. Its product suite includes automated invoice review that detects exclusions and missing codes, tools that ingest PAD/PADnext files, documentation-to-GOÄ code translation, and a GOÄ assistant validated against the rulebase. The GOÄ Core reportedly encodes more than 2,800 codes along with exclusions, surcharges and analog services, and supports individualization for specific physicians. The founding team — Ole Reinpold, Lasse Reinpold, Nicolas Riegger and Stephan Lenert — is complemented by software, AI and medical billing specialists. Financially, Qodia has announced roughly €1.6 million in disclosed funding to date, including the recent €1.2 million round, which it intends to deploy to grow its technology and market presence.
